Superman/Batman: Apocalypse will hit Blu-ray and DVD on September 28. The movie is based on the second story arc, "The Supergirl from Krypton," from Jeph Loeb and Michael Turner's the "Superman/Batman."
From the heart of the DC Universe, and the acclaimed comic book series of the same name, comes Superman and Batman's newest movie. This animated feature is sure to be a smash hits with superhero fans around the world.
When an alien vessel crash lands in Gotham's great lake, Batman dawns his scuba gear to investigate. As the caped crusader approaches the vessel he finds it is surrounded by a glowing green rock he knows to be Kryptonite. A mysterious young woman escapes the downed space craft and flees the Dark Knight. He is soon joined by Superman and the two superheroes realize the Man of Steel may not even be strong enough to stop this new Kryptonian.
But it is not Batman and Superman she has to worry about. The cosmic villain Darkseid has plans of his own for this beautiful young woman. After abducting her and bringing her to his home planet of Apokolips he attempts to turn her turn her into a weapon of mass destruction. The Dark Knight and Man of Steel must battle their strongest enemies to get her back.
